Ethan Hollingsworth won his fourth consecutive start and the Nuts snapped a four game losing streak with a 6-2 win versus Stockton at John Thurman Field on Wednesday afternoon. Hollingsworth struck out five, allowed two home runs and gave up six hits in the win.
Modesto Nuts utility man Jimmy Cesario and former catcher Jordan Pacheco were named to the California League's post-season All-Star team. Pacheco and Cesario have been the top two offensive leaders for the Nuts throughout the season.

Saturday, September 4th the Modesto Nuts will face the Inland Empire 66ers on Fan Appreciation Night at John Thurman Field! The game will be followed by the last Fireworks Extravaganza of the year! Game starts at 7:05.
The Modesto Nuts have been selected as the host of the annual California League/Carolina League All Star Game on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. The All-Star classic is presented by Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel.
